PEMBROKESHIRE CLASSIC CAR CLUB ACTIVITIES 2018

MARCH 2018

On Saturday 24th March twenty members of the club met at the Xcel Bowling Johnstown Carmarthen for an afternoon’s ten pin bowling.

After eventually booking in, sorting money with Brenda’s great help and getting ourselves sorted into three teams i.e

Red team led by Mike Chilton, Green team led by Steve Wimpory and

Blue team led by yours truly PB. Brenda Laura & Linda retired to the coffee shop to watch the action from afar.

Two games had been booked with three lanes being used, the bowling commenced with varying degrees of success by everyone. In my own case I peaked too early starting with two strikes but got worse very quickly!!!. The undoubted star of the show was David & Joy May’s granddaughter Caitlin who with the help of Lorraine Phillips and Brian Miller used the metal ramp to great effect to propel the balls to the target putting Joy to shame.

After a gruelling session the totals for each lane were handed out by the friendly staff, with the following proving to be top dogs!!

Red Team:- Maureen Worcester

Green Team:- Pat Halpin ( who we reckon had been secretly practicing)

Blue team:- Brian Miller( who expressed a wish for more.)

The winners being presented with boxes of ROSES chocolates, no expense spared by the club!!

After a group photo , we all got into our modern cars (Too early for classics) and parked by Wilkinsons , after a short walk we got to

Morgan’s Chippy where we all were able to sit together & enjoy some superb food, if not so good for the cholesteral.

We all then went our separate ways, after a very enjoyable afternoon

Thanks to everyone who attended for your support

Proud Members of Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club recently gathered at Haverfordwest Cricket Club to present a fantastic sum of monies to three amazing local charities, The Paul Sartori Foundation,Diabetes Wales & Wales Air Ambulance All charities provide an outstanding contribution to families in their time of need and we hope many will benefit from the monies raised from this years 2018 club show at Scolton Manor. With out YOU and your fantastic vehicles and everyone that attended the show we wouldn't be able present these three cheques. The club looks forward to seeing you all at the 2019 show so more monies can be raised. So a BIG Thank You To You All
